360 PHOTO - ADD SINGLE 360 SNAP SHOTS
It is possible to download as many 360º Snapshots from the Matterport Space as you like, from any position.
A 360º Snapshot is the same spherical, panorama imagerythat you see in 3D Showcase.
To 'explore' the 360 image you must use a specific tool for editing and viewing 360º images, such as Pano2VR.
Subsequently it is possible to upload to social media such as Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
360 PHOTO ... WHAT IS THE IMPACT?
Several studies show that the emotional response of 360 images and virtual tour users is much stronger than that of people viewing classic photographic images.
Subjects also engage to a greater extent with this type of content.
A study of 1'300 adults by Greenlight VR shows that 71% of those surveyed believe that brands using VR are "more modern and forward-looking".
VR TECHNOLOGY HAS CHANGED, OVER THE YEARS
During creation of the Schiphol Privium Clublounge virtual tour, in 2009, it was decided to also produce so called credit card CDRoms, to be able to view the premises without internet access.
Schiphol Privium management arranged insertion of 40.000 CDRoms in their special interest magazine 'Privium Update' (Summer 2009). It turned out to be a great success, according to the readers.
Further, these credit card CDRoms were given to potential new customers, after visiting the premises. A lot has changed indeed in VR technology, since 2009 ...
